Minnesota-based A Maze’n Farmyard welcomes guests of all ages to enjoy a variety of outdoor attractions and animal encounters with a focus on education. A Maze’n Farmyard maintains affiliation with the Eden Valley Lions Club, which provides youth development opportunities through its Leo Club.

The Leo Club encourages adolescents to become agents of positive change by equipping them with the necessary skills and resources to serve as young leaders in their community. Program goals focus on leadership, experience, and opportunity. Members of the club learn skills for project organization and time management while they obtain experience in cooperation and collaboration.

Abington High School baseball coach Jim Graver founded the Leo Club in 1957 with assistance from fellow Lions Club member William Ernst. Members of the original club were responsible for selecting club colors and the Leo acronym of Leadership, Equality, and Opportunity, though Equality was later changed to Experience.

The Lions Clubs International board of directors adopted the Leo Club as an official program in October 1967. Since its implementation, the network has grown to include more than 6,500 clubs in over 140 countries.
